With so much going on in the world, some things are talked about more than others, even things that are of equal or even greater importance -- and one of the less-talked-about but still prevalent issues in our society are the stigmas and common misconceptions around mental health and mental illness. The discussion around these topics is getting better, but we're not there yet, and the only way to spread awareness and spark change is to speak up and keep the conversation rolling. On this episode of the His & Her Money Show, Sarah J. Robinson is joining us to get serious about mental health. With her new book, I Love Jesus But I Want to Die: Finding Hope in the Darkness of Depression, Sarah is sharing her personal journey and tackling the tough questions around mental health and illnesses, particularly in the Christian church, and providing insight, inspiration, and practical tools and resources for her readers to find a deeper understanding of their mental health.

Here at His & Her Money, we like to cover all the bases when it comes to family life, and parenting our children is a huge part of that. Every parent just wants to set their kids upright, so today we're tackling a ridiculously important and ridiculously under-discussed topic around protecting our kids: internet security. On today's episode of the His & Her Money Show, we've got Chelsea Brown on board to break it all down for us. Chelsea is an ethical hacker, which means she's a web wizard with a cybersecurity degree to back it up. Her peers' experiences with cyberbullying and doxing back in the Myspace days inspired her career path, and today her job is all about navigating the internet and all the technology that comes along with it, and coaching parents how to keep their kids safe in a space that's not always kid-friendly. Check out Chelsea and learn more at digitalmomtalk.com!

We've said it before, but we'll say it again: His & Her Money Show isn't just a financial podcast. We're a platform to raise and discuss the issues that are relevant today, be it money, marriage, faith...or sometimes all of the above! We listen and we hear you, and we hope you're as excited as we are for some much-needed conversation with a much-request guest speaker! For this episode of the His & Her Money Show, we've got Jemar Tisby in the house to talk race, religion, and taking action. Jemar is a hot topic with his new book, The Color of Compromise, and we're so happy we got him on today to drop facts and wisdom on the racial divide, and most specifically, what our Christian church can do -- and what is ISN'T doing -- to help curve the disconnect and, hopefully, start to heal the world.

In this episode of the His & Her Money Show, Linda Gartz joined us live for some conversation about something that's a little bit less talked about: redlining. Whether you've heard of it or not, redlining was once a hot topic in segregated America. As Linda describes, if an African-American family - or, to a lesser extent, other races or nationalities - moved in a neighborhood or even an apartment, the entire neighborhood would be suddenly ineligible for loans. Linda breaks down the history of redlining and her own experiences, reflecting on the aftermath of Martin Luther King Jr's assassination in her own childhood neighborhood and bringing forward the parallels between then and now. The Fair Housing Act ended official redlining but it's still so relevant in today's climate, and this is a chat you will NOT want to miss. Check out Linda's book for more and keep the conversation going! Resources Mentioned
